OUR PROMISE

Our Crew promise to only use the best seafood supplied from as many local sources as possible.

We believe in responsible fishing and protecting our seas for your children and grandchildren to enjoy.

From our own boats that land just a few yards away, to the local line caught bass and the palm leaf bio friendly plates we use on our grill. Our ethos is local, quality food served in a way that can be enjoyed for years to come.

We also support the Fisherman Mission with donations made from all our shop purchases. This is a fantastic charity that look after Fishermen, active or retired, and their families.

THE PROCESS

Laying of pots

Our boats fish off the fast tidal waters in the English channel, north of the island of Alderney. They are called a ‘vivier boat’ which is french for ‘live holding tank’. This is because the middle of our boats are full of water, enabling us to keep the crabs and lobsters alive.

Picking

When returning to teignmouth, our quality crabs and lobsters are then taken direct from the quay and into our processing unit where they are all cooked and picked by hand by our experienced pickers.

Selection

Our method of fishing is by use of pots. This is an excellent way of selection. They enable us to return any crab or lobster, undamaged, back to the sea if they are of poor quality, berried, or small in size.
